Tour starts from the Hippodrome. Hippodrome was the sporting and social centre of the Byzantium Empire. Today the square named Sultan Ahmet Meydani. It was an arena for chariot races and other entertainments. During the Ottoman time the hippodrome was used for several occasions such as days-long circumcision ceremony for the sons of the Sultans. Next visit is to Blue Mosque ( Sultan Ahmet Camii in Turkish ) built in 16th century which owes its name from the magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles. It is the only imperial mosque with six minarets. Finally we visit Topkapi Palace, the great palace of the Ottoman Empire from the 15th to the 19th centuries.
